Puerto Rican coffee stands out because of a combination of things, where it is grown and how it is processed. The island's volcanic soil, as well as the coffee being grown at altitude of up to 3,500 feet above sea level and in the shade, bring out those extraordinary flavors.

  1. The coffee beans harvested in Puerto Rico, are in its majority the Arabica type. These beans feature a sweet and chocolate-like taste that many are fond of.

Its most popular varieties are Bourbon, Typica, Pacas, Catimor and limani. Arabica coffee contains many oils and natural sugars. It has a fruitier and sweeter flavor, as opposed to the intensely bitter Robusta coffee.

The acidic notes provide subtle hints of citrus without any bitterness, of course.

  5. it is grown with love. Agriculture is our heritage and history, our farmers learned the skill and the art from their grandparents, it is in their DNA, Coffee is our DNA. and with this love and history you get to taste one of the freshest cups of coffee in the USA.
