787 Coffee is Attending the SCA in Houston: Showcasing Puerto Rican Coffee to the World

Let’s Connect on Social

At 787 Coffee, we’re not just passionate about coffee – we’re passionate about Puerto Rican coffee. That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’re heading to the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Event in Houston, Texas, and bringing Puerto Rican farmers along for the journey. Our goal? To highlight the incredible coffee beans of Puerto Rico, collaborate with small farms, and support the next generation of coffee producers.

Puerto Rico is home to some of the world’s most distinctive and exceptional coffees. We believe it’s time to share the unique flavors of Puerto Rican coffee with the world. By attending the SCA, we are bringing the Puerto Rican coffee flag to the largest coffee conference in the United States. Our mission is to connect smaller farms with larger coffee companies, showcase the beauty of micro-lot coffee, and help push Puerto Rican coffee to the international stage.

Why We’re at SCA

The SCA is the ultimate gathering for coffee professionals worldwide. It’s where coffee enthusiasts, farmers, roasters, and companies come together to celebrate the culture, craftsmanship, and business of coffee. For over a decade, 787 Coffee has attended the SCA events every year, and we see it as a vital opportunity to connect with other coffee companies, learn new techniques, and expand our global reach.

But this year, we are doing something extra special – we’re bringing Puerto Rican farmers with us. At 787 Coffee, we work hand-in-hand with a network of small coffee farms in Puerto Rico. We understand that these small-scale producers, often overlooked in favor of larger coffee-growing nations, have something incredible to offer. Puerto Rico’s micro-lots are unmatched in flavor and quality, and we’re thrilled to showcase them at the SCA.

787 Coffee: A Leader in Puerto Rican Coffee

As a Puerto Rican coffee company, 787 Coffee is dedicated to helping our island’s coffee farmers thrive. By working directly with local farms, we can ensure that they receive fair prices for their coffee and that their beans are represented in a global marketplace. We believe that by showcasing Puerto Rican coffee at the SCA, we’re not only helping our farmers but also contributing to the growth of the coffee industry in Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico has long competed with lower-priced coffee from other countries, but we know that our specialty coffeestands out for its unique flavors and commitment to quality. We want to show the world that Puerto Rican coffee is worth the investment – it’s not just a beverage; it’s a story of resilience, dedication, and love for the land.

Meet Our Caffeinated Humans at SCA

At the SCA Event in Houston, 12 caffeinated humans from 787 Coffee will be attending to represent our brand and the Puerto Rican coffee movement. Our team will be networking, learning, and of course, tasting some of the finest coffee in the world. This year’s event will be an important step in expanding our reach, both for 787 Coffee and the farmers we support.
