Dulce De Leche Latte

Dulce de leche latte Recipe

You might be wondering what is a dulce de leche? Dulce de leche is a sweet candy very popular in Latin America and is often used in cakes, cookies, and on a dessert called "flan". Some humans might confuse it with caramel because of their similar flavor and color, but they're actually made differently. Combining this delicious candy with espresso makes the most delicious latte, which is the favorite caffeinated drink of our humans at 787 Coffee. We want to show you how to make it, so you don't have to wait until the next time you visit your nearest 787 coffee shop to enjoy it! Let's show you how you can make yourself the perfect dulce de leche latte.

Dulce de Leche Latte Recipe

  1. Prepare a double shot:   We recommend you to use our rich, signature 787 espresso, extracting 17.5 grams of coffee. Remember, the quality of your espresso sets the tone for the rest of the drink.

  2. Milk frothing:  For a smooth texture, we aim for about 9 oz of froth. The technique is important; we want our milk silky and warm, not bubbly or too hot.

  3. Milk temperature: Milk temperature is important for a great latte we recommend about 165 degrees. This ensures the milk melds perfectly with our espresso, enhancing the dulce de leche flavors.

  4. Bring it all together:. Mix the espresso shots with our 30 ml of dulce de leche sauce, we have our own sauce, but feel free to use your favorite brand at home.  Once the espresso and the dulce de leche sauce have been mixed it is now time to combine it with milk.

Hacienda Iluminada, home of 787 coffee, is the farm where we grow our coffee beans on the fertile mountains of Maricao, where the climate and soil provide the perfect conditions for coffee plants to thrive. The farm uses a combination of traditional and modern farming techniques to ensure that the coffee cherries are of the highest quality making it specialty coffee.

The flavor of coffee is influenced by the terroir, which refers to the unique combination of climate, soil, and other environmental factors that affect the taste and aroma of the coffee. Each coffee-growing region in the world has its distinct flavor profile, making coffee farming a diverse and exciting field.
