More than just a coffee shop

787 Coffee at 101 2nd St, Is a cozy little shop located, surrounded by local stores and just a few blocks away from the amazing  Empire State Building. Our friendly baristas are ready to welcome you and make your favorite coffee drink. This coffee shop has a special touch! It's full of beautiful art that showcases Maricao, Puerto Rico, and our coffee farm Hacienda Iluminada. We're proud of where our coffee comes from, and we want to share our story with you. Through the art in our coffee shops, we want to show where we come from, the farmers that made this possible, and the beautiful Puerto Rican culture. We want our humans to understand our amazing story, the people who brought them here, and the hard work of our farmers.

Our Murals: In the different 787 coffee shops you visit, there’s amazing art all over our walls! Every mural tells a unique story about the city it's located in, our coffee farm Hacienda Iluminada, our farmers, or our coffee cups. We take great pride in the hard work and contributions made by our farmers, and we're always looking for ways to honor them. One of our farmers, Tingo, has been with us since 2014, and we were thrilled to learn that he has a mural in NYC! He's even traveled to various coffee shops to see it, and when baristas come to the farm, they take photos with the human behind the mural. Each mural is unique and special, thanks to the amazing local artists we collaborate with around the country. We hope that whenever you visit us you take a picture with a mural

The Freshest Puerto Rican Coffee in town

At 787 Coffee, we take great pride in offering the best coffee beans straight from our farm in Maricao, Puerto Rico!  This means there is nothing in between, our coffee beans are hand picked by our farmers in Hacienda Iluminada. All of the work at our coffee farm, from processing to roasting, is done by humans, not machines. This means apart from being delicious, it is also organic and cared for by humans, as we say at 787 Coffee, "if it's good for the earth, it's food for you!" All of this is made for YOU, our caffeinated humans, so you can enjoy the freshest Puerto Rican coffee in New yok. From our farm to YOUR cup!
For this reason, our caffeinated baristas take great pride in the way they prepare your coffee each day, to give you the true flavor of Puerto Rico and the hard work that our farmers put into growing the coffee. We want you to have the real flavor of Puerto Rican coffee beans. If the care isn’t taken when making your coffee, then all of the hard work that goes into the farm wouldn't be noticeable.

We have our banana walnut olive oil, blueberry loaves, and quesitos. Our loaves have less sugar than those bought at the store since they are cooked with olive oil, which is good for the body.

Hacienda Iluminada, home of 787 coffee, is the farm where we grow our coffee beans on the fertile mountains of Maricao, where the climate and soil provide the perfect conditions for coffee plants to thrive. The farm uses a combination of traditional and modern farming techniques to ensure that the coffee cherries are of the highest quality making it specialty coffee.

The flavor of coffee is influenced by the terroir, which refers to the unique combination of climate, soil, and other environmental factors that affect the taste and aroma of the coffee. Each coffee-growing region in the world has its distinct flavor profile, making coffee farming a diverse and exciting field.
